The Vintage Austin Magazine reproduced this chart as some of their members are having difficulties with the braking figures (what braking, I hear you cry!) during MOTs. The braking efficiency is expressed as a percentage based on the vehicle’s weight and, for many of us, the weight of the Seven isn’t recorded on the V5C. If you are able, the club advises, reduce the actual weight of your car when going to a test by taking out the half-ton of spares some of us seem to carry around!
