Zero administration fees. Most competitors routinely charge £30-£50 for renewing, cancelling or making mid-term adjustments to your policy.
Cherished salvage: Free and automatic return on all vehicles over 20 years of age which are repairable within DVLA guidelines. Most competitors only offer you the option to 'buy back' your salvage which can be up to 40% of your settlement value. With RH you would receive your insurance settlement AND your salvage - free of charge.
UK & European accident & breakdown and recovery, including home service, as standard.
European cover. You are automatically covered for up to 90 days in any one trip.
Personal accident cover. Up to £5,000 while
travelling in any private vehicle.
Unlimited
windscreen cover. Nationwide replacement windscreen
service (subject to a £75 replacement excess or a £10
repair excess).
Rallies cover: Automatic cover included for club rallies.
Dismantled parts covered up to the value of the insured vehicle – as evidenced by receipts/proof of purchase and subject to being kept in a locked garage or building.
Multi-vehicle
Combine your
classic, specialist and modern vehicles onto a single
insurance policy, saving time and money. If
you’re currently paying more than £240 + insurance premium
tax for your everyday car, RH will guarantees to beat your
renewal premium by up to 10% - providing the cover is on a
like for like basis.
Laid up
Is your classic taking a break or awaiting restoration? This
cover applies whilst your vehicle, and its accessories and spare parts,
is kept in a locked garage or building. Cover also applies whilst your
vehicle is temporarily out of storage (i.e. whilst you are exhibiting it
or having it repaired in the UK) and whilst in transit to or from the
exhibition or repairer's premises. The ‘Agreed Value’ option is
available on all laid up policies. Cover will not be in force if the
vehicle is driven under its own power. An added benefit of our laid up
cover is that you can increase the value of your vehicle as and when
required, without being charged a broker administration fee!
Agreed Value
We understand that if you've spent a lot of money restoring your
vehicle to perfect condition, you don't want to accept a "Market Value"
settlement in the event of a "Total Loss". We can offer an agreed
valuation with no administration fee by having either your club
insurance/valuation officer, or an independent expert, inspect your
classic and agree an appropriate level of cover to reflect its true
value, so there will be no nasty surprises if the worst does happen. The
vehicle needs to be kept garaged to qualify for "Agreed Value" cover.
A7CA
Members are now able to ‘self-agree value’ up to £8,000.
Send photos of interior, exterior (all sides), engine bay
and chassis to the RH team (rh@ers.com)
with details of value required. For vehicles valued at
£8,000 and above, you will need to obtain a valuation from
either a recognised vehicle club or an independent
specialist.
Instalments
You can spread payment over 10 months by RH direct debit facilities.
Uninsured losses - legal
expenses
For a modest sum, legal costs and expenses are covered up to £100,000. The policy covers
you against the legal costs and expenses incurred in the pursuit of a
civil claim against a defendant arising from a road traffic accident
resulting in: damage to your vehicle, damage to your personal
property, your injury or death.
Exclusions
Please refer to your RH policy booklet, and schedule, for full
details.
Excesses
The minimum excess is £50 but could be higher depending on
underwriting criteria.
Standard Terms
When left unattended reasonable precautions need to be taken to
prevent theft, including removing the keys and locking the vehicle
(where possible).
